The M2 parachutist helmet: Commonly called the D-Bale helmet. The M2 is the first of the WWII paratrooper helmets replaced eventually by the M1C. We build these using original wartime helmets with a front seam rim. Our reproduction “D” bales are spot welded in place. The M2 helmet is finished with our Inland ”style” paratrooper liner.
1942 dated Specification Drawings for the M2 D-bale Helmet. Detailing the steel loops, web chinstrap length, chamois chincup, “A” yokes, DOT snap placement and leather liner chinstrap.

OD#3 (Khaki) Drawstring Helmet Net
Reproduction helmet net with drawstring tie. This is the lighter colored or “khaki” helmet net. We are often asked which helmet net is correct for an early, mid or late war impression. It does not matter…both net colors were used at the exact same time. When choosing it should be a matter of personal taste or in some cases whichever color your reenacting group prefers.

OD#7 (Dark Green) Drawstring Helmet Net
Reproduction helmet net with drawstring tie. This is the darker colored helmet net. We are often asked which helmet net is correct for an early, mid or late war impression. It does not matter… both net colors were used at the exact same time. When choosing it should be a matter of personal taste or in some cases whichever color your reenacting group prefers.

Camouflage Helmet Net Scrim
Colored burlap for camouflaging helmets. This order includes 9 feet total in 3 colors; green, rust, and brown – 3ft. of each color. We recommend cutting the strips down the middle making them 1/2 as wide, this insures the strips will slip through the holes in the netting and will completely cover your helmet.

Reproduction Paratrooper First Aid Kit OD#3
The iconic first aid pouch which were tied to the front of the paratrooper helmet. These were also given to all first wave beach assault troops in Normandy. Originals were filled with a first aid dressing, morphine syrette and tourniquet. Our reproductions are made with cotton duck fabric and twill tape ties. They contain British or U.S. wartime field dressings and a web strap similar to a tourniquet, making them look and feel just like an original.
