HELMET LINERS – INFANTRY

What is offered?

We offer early, mid and late war variations of the “High Pressure” liner.   The high pressure liners are the most common WWII helmet liners.  Within this family of liners are numerous webbing and hardware combinations.  We have placed the most common combinations in three chronological categories, below:

  • Early War:  Webbing kit made of cotton HBT (herringbone-twill) material.  Steel “A” shaped washers and rivets.
  • Mid-War:  HBT webbing kit.  ”A” shaped washers made of steel painted olive drab and set with steel rivets.
  • Late-War:  HBT webbing kit.  ”A” washers made of brass (blackened) and set with steel or brass rivets.

These categories are merely meant to serve as guides.  One the greatest joys of collecting WWII liners is finding the “oddball” liner built with materials that disrupt any attempt to categorize them chronologically!   One fact prevails: anything produced later in the war could and will contain materials made earlier in the war.

Frequently asked questions:

  • Can I choose the liner manufacturer? No – and we aren’t just being mean. The reason we cannot accommodate this request is simple: we simply cannot maintain an adequate stock of ALL manufacturers.
  • Are ALL of your liners from the WWII era? No.   Most are — but not all. We have several hundred that are postwar. Postwar liners are exactly the same as WWII liners in shape and size.
  • Do you use U.S. style liners made by other countries? NO! NO! NO!
